Annie Retta Butler, daughter of Michael Butler and Sarah Thomlinson, was born on 10 June 1886 at Dacre, Ontario.4,5,3

In 1898 the Butlers sold the farm in Grattan and moved to Sudbury, Ontario. It's likely that Annie's father heard about the booming mining community and decided that he would rather try his luck there than continue to farm.6

Annie Retta married Thomas Alfred Wulff, son of Magnus Alfred Wulff and Jane White, on 30 June 1908 at Sudbury, Ontario.7

In 1918 Annie contracted tuberculosis. She was housebound for several months and then moved to the Sanitarium in Gravenhurst, Ontario. Unfortunately, her health did not improve and Annie died on 25 October 1919 at age 33.3 She was buried on 28 October 1919 at Eyre Cemetery, Sudbury, Ontario.1,2
