Eva Mae Wulff1
b. 6 April 1909, d. 10 December 1991
Eva Mae Wulff, daughter of Thomas Alfred Wulff and Annie Retta Butler, was born on 6 April 1909 at Copper Cliff, Ontario.2
When Mae was growing up she travelled all over for her education and spent some time in Pennsylvania with her aunt, Pauline Knoellinger.3
Mae's father, Alfred, was a supervisor working for INCO in the Copper Cliff smelter. Most of the men working in the smelter were boarded in company residences. One day her father came home with a young man who had just started work with INCO. There was no room in the residences so Alfred had offerred his own home as a temporary shelter.
The young man was Marshall Kostash, the man that Mae would marry less than two years later.3
Mae married Marshall Kostash, son of Fedor Kostaszczuk and Anna Zwarych, on 31 May 1937 at St. John the Divine, Copper Cliff, Ontario.
Mae and Marshall quickly settled in to what would be a common lifestyle for miners in Copper Cliff. Mae was kept busy raising their two children, while Marshall worked on various shifts at INCO.Marshall retired from INCO in 1971.3
Marshall and Mae spent the next several years of retirement travelling and visiting their children's families in Ottawa and Barry's Bay. They both enjoyed many years of good health and had an active retirement.4
Mae died on 10 December 1991 at Sudbury General Hospital, Sudbury, Ontario, at age 825 and was cremated on 12 December 1991 at Parklawn Crematorium, Sudbury, Ontario.1,5
