Thomas Alfred Wulff, son of Magnus Alfred Wulff and Jane White, was born on 9 September 1888 at Pembroke, Ontario.5 He was baptized in 1891 at St. Bartholemew's, Ottawa, Ontario.

Alfred and his family returned to Beachburg some time between 1891 and 1901. According to his obituary, Alfred was educated in Beachburg.

Alfred's father died some time in the mid-1890's and his mother eventually remarried in 1897. They moved to Sudbury in 1904.2

Alfred started work with the Canadian Copper Company in September 1904, and would continue his employment with them, and with their later incarnation, International Nickel Company (INCO), for almost 48 years.

Alfred was an avid sportsman in his youth, playing lacrosse and baseball in the INCO leagues.

He married Annie Retta Butler, daughter of Michael Butler and Sarah Thomlinson, on 30 June 1908 at Sudbury, Ontario.6

In 1918 Annie contracted tuberculosis and was sent to the Sanitarium in Gravenhurst. Unfortunately, her health did not improve and she died in October 1919. Alfred must have found life very difficult raising five daughters, all under 11 years old. On 1 April 1920 Alfred married Annie's sister, Esther Jane, at Sudbury, Ontario.7

Alfred was a long time member of St. John's Anglican Church, Copper Cliff and of Nickel Lodge 455, IOOF.

Alfred died on 28 May 1952 at North Bay, Ontario, at age 63.4 He was buried on 31 May 1952 at Eyre Cemetery, Sudbury, Ontario.2,3
