Frederick James Heyes, son of Richard Heyes and Ellen Sharratt, was born at Eccleston, Lancashire, England,2 and baptized on 12 May 1852 at Prescot, Lancashire, England.2

Frederick married Alice Clare, daughter of John Clare and Elizabeth Traverse, on 16 October 1870 at the parish church, Sutton, St. Helen's, Lancashire.3

Frederick's occupation was described most often in the records as fitter, but the terms mechanic and engineer are also used.

Frederick died after November 1923.
