Jessie Heyes

Jessie Heyes, daughter of Joseph Heyes and Alice Maud Domville, was born on 1 August 1914 at Warrington, Lancashire, England, as was her twin brother, Frederick John. Jessie was baptized on 2 September 1914 at St. Luke church, Warrington.1

When Jessie was 9 years old she and her parents and siblings moved to Canada and settled in St. Catharines, Ontario. Her uncle Peter Heyes had already moved there a few years earlier. The family sailed on the S.S. Montcalm, leaving from Liverpool on 2 November 1923, and arriving in Quebec a few days later. They likely took a train from Quebec to St. Catharines.2,3

Jessie married Donald Easby Oliver circa 1939.

Jessie died on 22 February 1989 at Orillia, Ontario, at age 74.
