Stanley Heyes

Stanley Heyes, son of Joseph Heyes and Alice Maud Domville, was born on 7 December 1911 at Great Sankey, Lancashire, England, and baptized on 4 February 1912 at St. Mary church, Great Sankey.1

When Stanley was 11 years old he and his parents and siblings moved to Canada and settled in St. Catharines, Ontario. His uncle Peter Heyes had already moved there a few years earlier. The family sailed on the S.S. Montcalm, leaving from Liverpool on 2 November 1923, and arriving in Quebec a few days later. They likely took a train from Quebec to St. Catharines.2,3

Stanley married Marjorie Huntley circa 1949.

Stanley died on 6 October 1972 at Scarborough General Hospital, Scarborough, Ontario, at age 604 and was buried on 10 October 1972.4
