Grace Ellis was born at St. Martin's, Scilly, Cornwall, England,1,2 and baptized on 4 April 1782 at St. Mary's church, Scilly.3

Grace married Timothy Ashford, son of Thomas Ashford and Mary Odger, on 19 May 1799 at St. Martin's church, Scilly, in the presence of James Nance and Robert Gibson.4

Grace died between 1 July 1870 and 30 September 1870 at Scilly Islands, Cornwall, England.

Given that the names Grace, Robert and Isabella appear in Robert and Grace Ellis' family and in Grace's children with Timothy Ashford, there is some evidence to suggest that Grace is the daughter of Robert Ellis and Grace Pender.
