Vladimir Leonard Kostaszczuk

Vladimir Leonard Kostaszczuk, a.k.a. Ladimer Kostash, son of Fedor Kostaszczuk and Anna Zwarych, was born on 9 October 1911 at Vegreville, Alberta.1

Ladimer likely started his education at Kolomea school at around seven or eight years old. He would have then moved on to higher grades in Vegreville, likely staying at the two-room shack, or bursa, built by his father.

Ladimer likely moved on to Victoria High School in Edmonton.

Ladimer married Elsie Kruger circa 1936.

Lad graduated from the University of Alberta, Edmonton in 1947. He taught for several years in schools in Alberta and also served as Principal in several schools in Edmonton.1

In 1971 Lad retired from teaching and joined Elsie in running an antiques store called Collector's Haven. They ran the store together for 15 years.1

Elsie died in August 2002, and some time after that Ladimer moved to live with his daughter, Taylore, in France.1

Ladimer died at Montlaur, France,1 and was cremated there on 19 May 2003.1 Ladimer was buried at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Edmonton.1
