James Baker, son of Thomas Baker and Rachel Houghton, was born at Ditton, Lancashire, England,1 was baptized on 14 June 1801 at Parish Church of Farnworth, Farnworth, Lancashire.2

James married Ann Ellam, daughter of Peter Ellam and Elizabeth (--?--), on 19 November 1821 at St. Mary the Virgin, Prescot, Lancashire.3

James was a farmer at Penketh, Lancashire, England.4

James married Mary Sumner on 19 November 1867 at St. Mary, Great Sankey, Lancashire, England.5

James died after the a 1881 census.
