Hellen Jago

b. before 5 May 1886
Hellen Jago, daughter of Charles Augustus John Petherick Jago and Emiline Matilda Kneebone, was born b 1886 at Pendeen, Cornwall, England, and baptized on 5 May 1886 at Pendeen.1

Hellen's father served in the Royal Navy and the Coastguard, so the family moved around a great deal as he was transferred from one Coastguard station to another. They moved to several ports in Cornwall, such as Pendeen and Penzance, and also to Ireland. The family eventually moved back to Devonport.2

Hellen worked as a house parlourmaid in the home of Frederick Blenkinsop at Plymouth at the time of the 1911 census.3

Hellen married John Alfred Collins on 20 August 1912 at Pennycross, St. Pancras, Plymouth, Devon.
