Eliza Prouse, daughter of Walter Prouse and Mary Petherick, was born on 27 March 1815 at Harbertonford, Devon, England,1 and baptized on 30 July 1815 at Harberton, Devon.1

Eliza married William Jago, son of William Jago and Ann (--?--), on 2 September 1834 at Devonport, Devon, England.

Eliza was a marine store dealer in the 1871 census at Devonport, Devon. She appears to have continued the business after William's death in 1866.2

Eliza died after the a 1881 census likely at Devonport.3
